This is a publication of Indian Thyroid Society, is a peer-reviewed online journal with 3 Issues print on demand compilation of issues published. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository. The journal does not charge for submission, processing or publication of manuscripts and even for color reproduction of photographs. The journal is published with support from Abbott India Ltd, and Abbott India Ltd agrees to purchase and distribute copies of the journal to health care professionals in India as a service to Medical profession.

The Editor-in Chief

Prof. Krishna G. Seshadri is the current Editor in Chief of Thyroid Research and Practice, the official journal of Indian Thyroid Society. He is a distinguished Endocrinologist and Medical educator based in Chennai, India. A graduate of Madras Medical College, he completed his residency and fellowship in the United States, becoming American Board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
He currently serves as a Senior Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. His clinical and research expertise spans diabetes, thyroid disorders (particularly nodules and cancer), obesity, and the influence of gut microbiota and circadian rhythms.
Prof. Seshadri is a nationally recognized leader in medical education. He is considered one of the key architects of India's new competency-based medical curriculum and was instrumental in developing the AETCOM module on ethics and communication. He has held leadership positions in several professional societies, including as the President of the Indian Thyroid Society from 2024 to 2025.
Beyond clinical practice, he is actively involved in healthcare technology, having developed a low-cost, cloud-based Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for small clinics, and is the founder of several medical education and technology companies.
