The Indian Thyroid Society is proud to support outstanding young researchers. After rigorous evaluation of 16 high-quality proposals, the following 5 candidates have been awarded up to ₹2,00,000 each for their innovative thyroid research.

About the Grant

The Indian Thyroid Society (ITS) invites applications from eligible postgraduate trainees for research projects focused on thyroid and related disorders in the Indian context. Applications will be reviewed by an independent committee appointed by the ITS Executive Committee.

Who Can Apply?

  • DM / DNB Postgraduate Trainees in Endocrinology
  • MCh Trainees in Endocrine Surgery
  • MD / DNB Trainees in Nuclear Medicine

Mandatory Requirements

  • Research project guide must be a member of the Indian Thyroid Society
  • Study protocol must be approved by the local Ethics Committee before fund disbursal
  • Six-monthly progress reports and a final report are mandatory
  • Publications should preferably be submitted to Thyroid Research and Practice
  • ITS support must be acknowledged in publications

  • Number of Grants: 5
  • Grant Amount: Up to ₹2,00,000 each
  • Sanction: At the discretion of the Research Committee
